Have a look at those links I provided with regards to the HD800 certificate thread earlier today.
We all have different tastes and you're is far from the "standard" here. Sheesh.
1-Their LCD3 actually sound and measure correctly (ie. working as intended).
I'm sure it is.
2-Their gear is powering through or synergizing w/ a less than ideal performing LCD3 in such a way as to be indistinguishable.
I hear it the same way on my WA22 AND GS-1.
3-They psychoacoustically adjust to the 'veil' such that it disappears over time, happens all the time w/ bass response variations among phones. One reason I A/B phones within tens of seconds using the same segment of tracks as to not let my brain and ears fool me when comparing.
I did this exact same thing with my LCD-2 r.2s when comparing before I sold them.
4-They lack gear which might offer a different reference point to understand and witness what others perceive as 'veil' or other issues.
Have a look at my gear.
I'm glad you've got to a place where you're happy with your HD800s and amp, but those of us who prefer other gear aren't wrong. We don't need to conform to your idea of what good sound is.
Response:
1-I talked about 4 specific variations of phones, gear and sampling experiences. You only have and have heard ONE LCD3 and have tried to shoehorn that single LCD3 into each of four separate conditions. Try again.
2-And stop being an apologist by framing everything as an earpad issue which was but one of many hypothesis but the only acceptable one in your view. Your HD800 comment is only about relatively minor FR deviations not Audeze 10dB swings and inconsistent impulse responses, ringing, THD and noise issues.
3-How can we not look at your gear your too busy showing it off all the time.
4-You need to stop fighting whatever imaginary crusade you want to fight on behalf of Audeze, it's old. I don't recall saying anyone couldn't enjoy whatever sound they like, that's all on you so feel free to debate yourself on the issue.
Once again, you want to play around w/ data and objective facts but when presented w/ the same objective material as counterpoint you shift back to preferences? WTH does that have to do w/ headphone consistency and build quality? Is it really so hard for you have a mature discussion of facts without shifting the argument to "some of us like how X sounds so THERE" or refrain from flashing your gear around? At least Googlei is funny about it.
