The skull design reminds me of Gygas the Cosmic Destroyer from Earthbound.

LOL! I don't mass market so I try to be very accommodating with the few customers I have. I like making people happy if I can.  :)

I'm very interested to hear my Paradox again.. they were on a CONUS tour for the better part of the past year (I created a tour thread over at HF w/ indexed reviews & impressions).  I've practically forgot how they sound!  More interestingly, over the time they've been gone, I think I've become quite sensitive to treble tuning.  By that, I mean I'm more critical of treble linearity more than if there's a boost here or there.  At times, heck the HD600 feels too bright/uneven in places to me (this, driven off a BH Crack+speedball).  Surprisingly, the UERM is one of the so-called 'brighter' IEMs whos' treble tuning I really appreciate.

Many newcomers to the Paradox felt it didn't have enough treble presence.  I didn't find it that way.. but I could understand why some had those sentiments.  With my newfound sensitivity to treble, I'm excited to reunite with the Paradox... especially now that I've got a nice speaker amp to drive it with (TBI Millenia) and an incoming Project Ember.

Hope to get in on a Code-X sooner than later, too.

Did ultrabike or purrin ever get a chance to measure the slants? I'm curious as to how they measure, especially the bass.

I got to listen to my friend's set of slants and I liked them as well. Compared to my Mad Dogs, the bass impact was night and day; while the Mad Dogs had very little bass impact (and the Alpha Dogs had even less to my ears), the bass had a much more satisfying thump on the slants. I also noticed that the ~10k spike on the Mad Dogs seemed to be flattened out on the slants. They still didn't sound airy and open, but frankly I doubt any T50RP mod (or any closed back for that matter) will ever sound open to me. If/when I decide to sell the Mad Dogs in search of better closed back cans, I'll probably buy a set of slants.

Dangit. Paradox sound <good> with the Vali.  I wanted to thin the herd a little...I better wait.  But FlySweep, if you would like to try the Paradox I will send them to you.

More bass impact than the MD? Lessened treble, or at least a lessened peak there? That sounds like something I might like. Oddly enough, the AD I demoed had more bass impact than my MD (put another way, the MD sounded warmer, but the AD was harder hitting and cleaner sounding down low). I have yet to find a T50RP that I don't want to EQ the treble down a bit on, but maybe the Slant would do it for me.

I'd love to hear more impressions for others or, better yet, get my hands on a pair...
