We worked a long time on these and I nearly quit but thank goodness I didn't.  I'm happy you guys like the look.

The pads don't rotate much. There is a definite front and back to them but the seams are actually made like that on the pads. I dislike it but hey...the pads are comfy and animal-lover friendly.

I've got a set coming my way as well at some point (#4).

Are these roughly similar to the HE-5 as far as drivability? I actually prefer inefficient 'phones these days since I've got the LAu.

I would say they are slightly...just a tad...harder to drive.

They are pretty demanding to drive.


4'o'clock on the ZDSE on L-mode (with 2 Vrms in)
12-o'clock on the Rx3B (with a 2Vrms in) balanced mode on H-gain.


The hardest to drive headphones yet running on my amps/DACs so to speak.

They have a similar structure and feel as the Brainwavz HM5, but larger, a bit more "leathery" and angeled.

Sold my wooden HE-5's two years back... Would be thinking about this upgrade right now if I didn't.

Looks very nice though.
