At ocswing's advice, I got some whiskey stones (thanks for the tip, btw). Not sure if I'm a fan yet. I usually like my drinks a bit colder. I may just plunk down for a Japanese ice ball mold.

You should get this one! http://www.themacallan.com/shop/detail.asp?pid=847470

Cusquena from Peru - Great eating beer.  Inert, no affect on the palate or your cuisine.  Crisp, clean, refreshing, cheap!  Does nothing offensive.

Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout - Nice drinking beer.  Full mouthed, smooth with chocolate and coffee tones that never extends over to excessive bitterness.  My secret ingredient to a fabulous 6 hour slow cooked Irish Corned Beef Brisket and Robuchon Cabbage.  Rounded off w/ a dollop of one's favorite artisan mustard blend.

Had a get together the other week. I really enjoyed the Bowmore, Benromach, and Caol Ila.
