Actually I was referring to Tari / Rudi in that post.

I don't think NwAv's blog is satisfactory, firstly it's too nihilistic (I hate that SanDisk Clip+ review to this day), secondly his whole "non-profit endeavour" is in turn placing a certain company on the NASDAQ.

It's all a complete joke, I only wish for my review/s to vastly accelerate the learning process.  I think that's all I have to say.

No.  I'm saying if you don't like what's being made in the kitchen and try to whip up your own dish as a guest, the owner or chef is completely within their right to kick you out of their kitchen, you were only there in the first place as a guest.  You can try to make whatever inroads you can, but in the end of the day its their kitchen.

If you think your reviews can "vastly" accelerate the learning process, great.  Keep writing them on your blog tumblr and they'll be there for people to see. The best dishes aren't necessarily in the big corporate joints everyone visits, people love saying "I found the best little hole-in-the-wall place, they make X by hand and its out of this world..."

Please, don't spam this site with links to your blog.  That's not what this site is about.

We would appreciate your being a member here.  Before you whip out your blog though, the least you could do is buy us dinner.

Did someone actually get banned for owning 2 SR009's?

Also, can someone briefly explain what the deal is with Rin Choi?  I swear I've never seen that name on the forums before last week, but now it seems to pop up everywhere.  Is he just some hardcore objectivist, or...?

First question = Yes.

I saw his post when he placed an order for the second SR-009, then swish... he was banned the next day out of the blue.  I saw that myself.  I noticed he was let back on h-f briefly around half a year later or so, then apparently posted a picture of his [very] high-end rig, then swish... removed once again.  Idiotic, but hey, it's "their" kitchen, whatever.

Second question = Yes

He's now basically a beacon of light in the darkness, everyone sends their IEM's to him for divine judgement.

Try reading his Ocharaku Flat4 review, it's enlightening... http://rinchoi.blogspot.com/2013/04/ocharaku-flat4-sui-part3-in-depth.html

"took me half an hour to figure out why 2Asin(ωt) = Ya(ω) = Yb(ω)"  Taking me much longer than that, also you need the tip of the IEM to be exaclty 28mm from the tympanic membrane for mathematical correctness. ^^

Personally, I like Rin Choi's data and his attitude.  I'd call him an in-depth dataist, yet not a typical nihilist.  Plus, I honestly love the sound of ER-4B with Shure Olives.

Hi there,

I've never actually seen and hardly heard of this forum before.  I was sent a couple emails by different people telling me I should link my article here since it would be appreciated or something.

So here it is... http://a-review-of-head-fi.tumblr.com/

That's all, have a nice day.

Ok, new sections are now up.

"Alternative audio forums"

"The Nuevophile"

It seems like it's vanished from Google search results, perhaps it was reported somehow...

Edit: Yup, it was definitely removed from Google search results...

Well I think moderating at Head-Fi has reached new lows- in fact the lowest I can remember in the 8 years i've been a member
Apparently now we are not allowed to discuss things in threads that are "off topic". All the posts get deleted!! Its quite natural for discussions to veer off now and again to related subjects thats how conversation go in life isn't it !!
I have never experienced such crass and heavy handed behaviour from moderators on any other forum period.

In view of this I really can't see its worth contributing to topics any longer at that place, best just to read the ill informed and unsubstantiated theories and stay stum.
