ahh right - yes that would make things clear :p

bixby that is interesting - do you think you could elaborate a bit as to why you would prefer the Lyr2 to the ember?

thank you!

Similar impressions to Jexby's   I thought the Lry brought out a bit more detail and space and a bit more openness with the Dogs.  Both are fine amps and worthy of a listen because it may come down to preference and what cans you have.  Also it could be the tube :)

I wish I had more time with both.  They both are rather top notch examples in their price ranges.

Ember is "only" $100 less than Lyr2, I was happy to pay the higher price for Lyr2 and limit my tube hunting to the 6922.

not bixby, but jexby here-

it was easy for me to identify the wider and more "airy" soundstage of the Lyr2 over the Ember, this with HE-560.

of course there was no massive tube rolling/tweaking at the meet to match everyone's preferred sound signature and Ember does have a ton more tube (model) options in this regard.

in the past there have been others explaining of Lyr2's power rails and better clean up compared to Ember, but don't have that handy at the moment.

ahh cool- that does make sense. and both are good at taking down the treble etch a tiny bit as well?
this is what I am a little worried about with the setup... :)
redacted+lyr2 or ember-> he560, was my plan.

but I do get the impressions that they are both similar in characteristics from you folks.

thank you very much!
