The 2nd Greatest Interconnect Cable Ever Made
« on: July 30, 2012, 07:36:34 PM »

So I've been holding out on you guys. I have the secret to making the bestest interconnects evar! Get rid of the dielectric! Much has been written about dielectric voodoo - well lets get rid of it! Duh!

The best implementation would be without the tape. The tape is there to keep the magnet wires separated. The downside to this cable: no insulation. Better be sure the internals of your gear are shielded. Maybe if I suspend this cable inside a grounded 8" metal pipe. Hmmm...

P.S. It sounds totally awesome. Detailed like silver but without the harshness that silver sometimes imparts. It's sounds like a beautiful woman who has a heart and is also a good fuck too.

:)p13 Have you experimented with different spacing? Supposedly 3/4" apart should sound the best.

Omega Mikro makes their cables in a somewhat similar fashion (uninsulated) though they use copper foil instead of magnet wire, and they don't use Scotch tape  :-\

If that's the second greatest interconnect, what's the first greatest interconnect? :)p13

Awesome. I bet they sound the bestest evar!!

However, aesthetically, they are not thick enough. What if my CD player starts floating away?! I need big, thick, heavy cables to hold it down!

Perhaps the new cable from 69Audio....the John Holmes model might work.... :)p7

The preceding statements were true.

I too am worried about my components floating away. That is why I make sure they have enormous isolation / anti-vibration feet the size of soup cans to help weigh them down too. I want the underside of my gear to look like the Parthenon.  :)p5

I mostly talk about music there. Weird.

It is implied that if these are the 2nd best ever made, no one would dare to claim to be the best!!

Suspend the cables from the ceiling...I find about 6' off the ground gives a level headed amount of 'air'.
