These came in a large box with a lot of other mid/entry level headphones.
I like most everything about these except one thing: the treble.
They are comfy, the are light, they look well made, they have decent bass, decent mids, and of course, they are black. But the treble is a bit annoying.

The interesting thing is, the measurements don't show any elevation in the treble, but it does sounds a bit edgy.

I see, that 5.5k area can be like an ice pick with some cans

Yeah. A small circle of stiff craft felt right in front of the driver helps.

Yes. It could be anything from 4k to 10k as that covers sibilance and these cans had that problem IMO.
What is funny though is that frequency response alone does not point out this problem. This is a perfect example of a headphone whose frequency response (magnitude) does not tell the whole story, or at least it was not obvious to me at first glance.

can you change the window rise time of the CSDs? maybe less smoothing or larger window sizes?

Due to a hole in 300hz area, do they sound cold and does it affects drums, especially the snare?
