Seriously, this can't just be me. This is the second time I've gotten something like this from a complete and total stranger.

Oh, hey, I actually know that guy! RCBinTN was at our last headphone meetup.
Seriously nice guy and I promise that he means well.
He's just old and is still trying to get a grasp on all things...digital. Our Nashville group spent some time talking him through the ins and outs of DAPs and computer software for audio.
But, he's bought some nice gear and is always eager to share and talk. Give him a chance. ;D

I can't impose a duty of confidentiality on you: if I send you this message, I have no control over what you do with it. Hmmm... unless I'm some sort of copyright troll with a law firm.
A long time ago, I sat in a management meeting, propounding that there was no point in putting the usual hogwash as a footer to the company e-mails, because, legally, it was hogwash. Decision: "Maybe you're right, but we'd better put it there anyway."

Several years back, before I got banned from Mansilla's mess, I complained about a DAP seller (MP4Nation, in HK, I think) -- that seller was apparently a H-F sponsor. [I bought the DAP new from MP4Nation, but it failed after 2 wks; I returned for service, and it went into limbo ]
After my posts (several of which H-F mods deleted), the DAP seller's head-honcho contacts me via private DIRECT email, warning me that I wouldn't get my DAP back if I didn't settle down (I was always polite on HF). The email addy he used was one I ONLY used for H-F. Someone from H-F top mgmt (or Jude) had given mP4Nation my private info and put 2+2 together, from my customer info).
I never got that DAP back. SOL $190
MP4Nation made a big deal about my posts on their forum, using my real name, and attempting to de-base/insult as much as possible--the same head-honcho who emailed me was the MP4Nation forum Mod, leading the troops to blood-lust . Not sayin' much: That forum is filled with the usual brainwashed brand-name-loyal fanboyz.
With that DAP ripped off, I got a very similar DAP from one of MP4Nation's Chinese competitors. That's lasted over 5yrs --still going!
MP4Nation is still around. Maybe they've improved. Maybe H-F has, too ;)

If this really is how that company dealt with your situation, never give them your money again. Seriously never.
A few years back I did not enter the Startbucks for six months because the "barista" once gave me a burnt cappuccino. Go regular coffee or flat white for the good coffee. Always ask for the medium roast or dark roast if that is your thing.
Yeah, I obsess over coffee.
