The site looks good. The middle column is wide and spacious.

The subtle changes are pleasant.

hello,

not happy with the loss of the unread topics button. its use was intuitive and by refreshing i could see the list of posts i hadn't read diminish with use.

now its: forums, unread topics, read topics (they don't drop off the list), scroll through until i've caught up, then make read.

or am i missing something?

It's still available, just in your user info box on the top left column.

The new layout with links in the user box looks nicer, but my experience so far is that the old layout with links on top was more practical (especially on a phone).

found it, but it still doesn't get smaller, i.e. remove the threads from the list after i have read the latest posts.

It does for me. Are you just hitting the back button? You have to refresh the page if you do. It's not a live feed like Head-fi's subscription page.
