Audeze LCD-2 revision 2 raw driver measurements. Frequency response and CSDs at -40db floor.
The measurements were taken from the outer (back) side of the headphone cup with the metal cages removed. The felt damping behind the driver was left in place. The drivers actually appear to be well matched on this sample. Raw driver CSDs actually look to have less sharp ridges compared to CSDs with the enclosure and pads. See http://www.changstar.com/index.php/topic,52.0.html (http://www.changstar.com/index.php/topic,52.0.html) for comparison (BTW - the left and right channels are reversed with this measurement set). It would appear that the pads and enclosures significantly contribute to measurement variability of these cans.

Wow, that FR shows a great response!

Man....I really want to play with some of those drivers!

Would be nice to know if it's the driver or the enclosure/damping that's causing the "reverb/resonance/echo" effect

That's exactly why I want to play with them.
If I win the innerfidelity thing in April, that's what I am going to do.... 8)
