Title: LFF's Code-X
Post by: Bill-p on March 26, 2015, 04:01:51 PM
Here's how this one looks like on my rig. Popped it on, measured and re-adjusted position 5 times to make sure it ain't just me. But other than that, no special treatment.

Ortho wall galore. Seems like the wall is at 6KHz for this pair. Subjectively, though, I don't think I can hear the razor 6KHz, or even the 2KHz ringing on the right channel.

This headphone does come off as a bit warm, and slightly dark, though... probably thanks to no small part to the upper bass rise, and also because everything gradually slopes down.

Channel matching is impeccable. Pure perfection. Kinda crazy for something tuned by ears.

I like this pair a lot! Me thinks it's the epitome of how a dark headphone should sound like. Oh mie gawd! If I ever find a pair of HE-5, I'll send them to Louis.

Edit: added full FR scale to demonstrate just how "flat" the FR of this Code-X is. IMO, that's very impressive for any DIY headphone!
