 I  buy from these sites;

 1.http://www.soundliaison.com/ (http://www.soundliaison.com/) best hi-res audio quality.

 2. http://www.linnrecords.com/ (http://www.linnrecords.com/)

3. http://www.naimlabel.com/ (http://www.naimlabel.com/)

4. http://www.hdtracks.com/ (http://www.hdtracks.com/) they do sell the Reference Recordings  downloads and they sound incredible, on par with the Sound Liaison.
  And it seems they have cleared up their act with the upsampled hi-res files.

I really like http://www.junodownload.com/

High quality downloads for a huge array of electronic music. Only place I was able to find a HQ copy of Tatanka's Tokyo which is one my reference tracks.

You name it, I've probably been there: HDTracks, ProStudioMasters, Qobuz, eClassical, The Classical Shop, CDBaby, Bandcamp, Boomkat, Amazon. I prefer to buy from artist or record label sites whenever possible.

And per my rant of a few minutes ago, I do not and will not use BitTorrent or any other peer-to-peer file sharing mechanism, for computer security reasons.

Everyone's morals and ethics are different, and I'm not trying to preach here, but "free share" sounds like stealing to me. Artists should be compensated for their work, period, full stop.

Like Burns I've bought my music from pretty much everywhere. That being said, I still buy and rip my own CDs and SACDs.

Just about everything I buy now is OOP vinyl, so Discogs is my record "store" of choice. I'll only buy from HDTracks if somebody has already measured and posted the DR score. It's true that there seems to be less upsampling shenanigans going on, but there are still loads of HDTracks albums packing the same Loudness War master as the CD release.

The selection at the Acoustic Sounds download store is getting more interesting, but that also means opening the door to quality that would NEVER past muster for an Analogue Productions release.

Same, though I can't rip SACDs as I don't have a PS3, but I do have an Oppo with which to listen to them and redbook layers still sound nice.

Someone turned me on to eClassical just yesterday and they have some really awesome bundles for classical music, very affordable.

Dave, I was very focused on Discog/vinyl purchasing for a while and am turning back that way again. I like spending money on things that aren't available in any other way.

Nowadys, mainly from https://bandcamp.com/ as it is easy to pay, the artist gets the biggest share and I can select the format I want.

Well put, if we all start using torrents, we will end up with very little music indeed, and a whole bunch of f'k'd' up , Viagra and [redickted] enlargement pop-up  adds infected, PC's.
