Hello
So Ive gotten myself a pair of HE-6 which I really love, even with the Schiit Mjolnir. But I really want to get as much out of them as possible within my budget. Which amplifier would you guys recommend me?
Also, is there any cablemaker who can do a cable with speakertaps? Ive emailed Norne Audio, but no answer yet.
Thank You!

For that budget, you can get some vintage receivers or amps - Pioneer, Sansui etc. you can look at the Odyssey line of amps or the First Watt line. Get the cable from BTG audio let us know how it goes. Good luck.

Thank you!
Is there any specific specification I should look for or is required?

First Watt F6.
Need a source with volume control, or add a preamp. The input impedance is very high (100k), so passive volume control is an option.

First Watt is the one amp I have yet to hear the HE6 with.

Just to ask, is there any option that isent so bloody huge that I need a rack? :D

You could look at class D for more compact options. There's the cheap Tripath based boxes that are in the $80-200 range. You've got some hypex nuttiness that clocks in around $1.5k and up. I'm really intrigued by the Benchmark AHB2 which is way smaller than it looks. Wide but short options would be a Bryston 2B, Crown D-45 or 75A, or Ashly SRA series.

ghent audio makes some very compact class d ice based amps http://www.ghentaudio.com/amp/ga-s125p.html

I've never heard the F6 but the F1 is still the best I've ever heard the HE-6s sound. I would love to hear them on one of the giant krells, though I have a hard imagining them being better than the f1 was.

What about intregrated amps for the convenience sake?
