Requesting measurements of this headphone with live-stage on and off. :)p2
What is exactly going on when live-stage is activated? Reffering to the "comb-filter" effect With peaks & nolls, and how does this affect perception of sound quality? A fake ear is used with this measurement so I suspect it is the reason why the peaks & nolls are smoothed out over the HRTF area.

It is a innovating new piece of technology that I would like to see get some attention.

I dunno fosho, but in some cases I have found that nulls and peaks at certain frequencies can make things sound wonky or sort of room colored. Things could also sound bright, painful, or give a sense of false detail retrieval when in fact detail is getting flushed down the drain... Dunno. If someone could provide one of these I'm all for checking it out.

If I recall correctly I did find the bass a bit one-note so I dont know if it is the way to go under the schroeder frequency. Headphones usually have superior bass response compared to speakers so I would not want to change that. I also found it somewhat unbalanced, but balance can be fixed.

Those look like they sound thick and brittle at the same time while punching your brain with bass. I figured JBL wouldn't be that ostentatious with their sound balance... but then again, every live venue I've been to with JBL Vertex flying arrays sounded like Grados in speaker form. It was quite a bit different than my experience with their mid-level gear, which usually had a perfect room curve on 'em.

I find LiveStage interesting. Only headphone I have encountered that have similar artifacts as speakers from 1khz and below.

JBL must be going for a signature to please listeners of heavy metal + deep bass. I'm not a bass head so this leaves me wondering how GnR's Use Your Illusion albums sound on this thing.

I heard these for about a minute, so take it for that much. I don't recall them sounding too bright, mostly because there was a tremendous amount of bass drowning most everything else out. The livestage did seem to make the sound more spacey, though I wasn't paying too much attention to what exactly it did.
