As for the 1Plus2, it's like a completely different beast than the TG!334. It sounds a lot less natural to me in the treble region and has a curious "sitting in the back of a room" kind of presentation, though it pretty much trounces the TG!334 in bass response. It's a lot more fatiguing for me in balance, but it has a more immediately playful type of sound.

Expressed in three sentences better than anything I've tried to come up with describing the 1p2.  facepalm

Got them in. Some FAT bass, but I like them. Are they really $1400 now? More later...

Firstly, thank you Analixus for you honest impression.

I am very surprised to see that there are many different impressions regarding how the TG!334 sounds. Just as MuppetFace said, i heard no sibilance from my TG!334. The only thing that i don't like about the 334 is that its bass is too much for me and this is the reason i sold the 334 and got the Parterre. Several people on other forums said it is V-shaped also, never felt that way. My 334 is the first version, i purchased them about 1 year ago.  I would like to know which version did you tried Analixus? Some people told me that there's some difference in the sound between the V1 and V2.

Your welcome, thanks for the feedback.  I don't know, purrin has it so he could check the serial#.

Don't think of my comments on treble and sibilance the same way as other peaky phones.  It's more of a tonal accentuation that strikes me as unusual that accentuates the normal signature in these zones.  I think purrin said he did not hear this either because he used his Sony X, and Sonys tend to have a warmer signature.  I'm sure if he used my two amps it would be more apparent.  While it would be easy to blame the amps, my other phones don't exhibit the same sound w/ them and I used two to ensure the sound was inherent to the 334.  Or that it was the likely cause when not combined w/ a warmer amp that might be more forgiving of these trouble spots.

Oh, it is good to read this thread...I like that the TG!334 sounds good straight out of my iPhone (which I do find less clear and "slightly softer" than amped). I will have to try it with my Leck when I get it back.  Maybe that is it- just keep it paired with a Sony or an iDevice it sounds good with..."no brick needed" sounds nice right now.
