I actually prefer resting my amp on my own balls.  It not only dampens many of the vibrations, but my body becomes in sync with the remaining vibration via the Testicular Transfer Function (TTF) which aclimatizes the senses to these colorations rendering them moot.

It really hurts and creates a lot of unsavory colors, but man it's worth it for the increase in inner micro details and macro dynamics.

You should try using your balls as tubes.  It gives quite the sound signature.  After kids and a vasectomy, I've done all the "tube rolling" I think I can do.

What was that website that mocked audiophile snake-oil products? I forgot what it was.

While we are on this topic:

http://stefanaudioart.com/Headphone%20cable%20TA%20IC

The Endorphin Ribbon Umbilical Power IC is made of an ultra-pure, extremely thin copper hybrid ribbon material consisting of the purest copper formulated with a proprietary superconductive material and incorporates an extremely efficient micro-dielectric material.

I didn't know scientists and engineers were capable yet of making superconductive materials at room temperature. Can anyone tell me were to get this stuff? I want to make a $500 power cable for my ECBA too.

First post here, just to point out one thing I found "funny" on that website : "upgrades" for a Phonitor amp :
http://stefanaudioart.com/Phonitor%20mod%20pac

Not only are they recommending spending money on Mappleshade's website to buy a wooden stand to minimise "circuit vibrations" and "vibrations from the floor of the room" (something I may understand for speakers or maybe, let's be tentative, vynil playback - as I've been living over an underground station for a long time I know what it can do to buildings :D), there is the website :
http://shop.mapleshadestore.com/Maple-Platforms/departments/46/

But they also propose to replace the IC opamps in the Phonitor with Burson's opamps - something downright stupid or even dangerous as the only two IC opamps used in that amp are used to cancel DC offset, so they aren't directly in the sound path, and replacing them with Burson's ones may degrade or even completely mess up the DC offset.

Replace op-amps used for as a servo for DC offset? LOL that's funny.

I do believe in vibration control but only with stuff with moving parts or stuff that's microphonic. Usually bricks or lead strip work - but better with the mass on top. With most gear, it's not going to be an issue if it weighs a ton.

vibration control is one of weirdest things i heard about amps. it's as bad as believing elevating a speaker cable with something will give it a more transparent signal. i guess whatever floats their boat.

I elevate all my cables through levitation. Best sound evar!
