As long as you don't test the ears and abilities of certain pirates the 'truth' you seek will be your truth, in the end your truth will be based on your observations and tests.

I already did test many ears (not of any pirates though but some that consider themselves audiophiles) and equipment in the past and continue to do so today, with it I created my own 'truth'.
It doesn't always jive with the 'truths' on this site, nor on Voldemorts site, or highly subjective based forums nor with Hydrogen folks.
Also consider MANY high-end brands and/or snake-oil sellers LIVE of subjective reviews, objective ones aren't very good for sales in general.  :)p13
It's why the 'myth' will always be around and the 'real' truth will be as hard to find as a wise, honest and sincere politician.  :)p17

I can tell you though that it resembles Hydrogen and Voldemort closest on various topics... but certainly not all topics.
Also hydrogen folks and Voldemort (as will as I) have a 'belief' that is as rigid as that of most pirates.
The reason I (still) dwell here is because I like most pirates  :)p3 and like to offer 'my technical views'.
I have accepted the fact that my hearing doesn't improve with age although it appears that it does  :)p8.

It will be up to YOU to find 'your truth' and will have to spend a LOT of your time, time you could have spent on more important things in life.
IF you start the search, document it thoroughly and publish it.
You won't be able to convert subjectivists though and would have to do it for your own 'education' and perhaps some people will find confirmation in most of your findings and others will laugh at your truth.
As long as you are happy, that's ALL that counts  8)

P.S. The 'black box' with the 2 test amps in it will never happen unless you build it yourself.
