Audeze LCD2-F Weirdness

(1/2) > >>

joeexp:
Hi guys,
I just had my Audeze LCD-2F Headphones replaced, because one of the drivers was giving up on me. The old ones were from November 2014. The new ones are from 2015.
I asked Audeze to send me the graph for my new phones and this is what they sent me:

It kind of looks not like what I was expecting. They sound very different from the 2014 Phones. Has Audeze changed the tuning of the LCD2s??

Were yours pre-fazor? I think if they give you fazored drivers if you send your headphones back for repair. That's quite a bit of a bit for the lower treble up to around 8khz.

Hi:

Just to compare, this is the frequency response for my LCD-2F (April 2014).  The pre-fazor demo units I tried in the store had a bit more bass quantity, but I am happy with the fazors for imaging and crisp (but not bright) treble.  The lush mids are much the same.

No the 2014 version wasn't pre-fazor. Perhaps they were just off a bit. Resulting in one of the drivers {left} dying.
So much to Audeze's Quality Control. Good thing my dealer just replaced them with the 2015 version and I didn't have to wait for them to be repaired.
