... so is it going to be produced again

because if not it's discontinued

By nature, limited production runs have a ... wait for it ... limited number of products produced. And yes, discontinued now. It just wasn't because of Z170.

It's a few years old now...

Gigabyte  GA-890GPA-UD3H + AMD Phenom II x4 995
Mere 4Gb RAM.
Graphics: onboard. Nothing else needed, I don't game or movie.
Antec P183 case.

What I tell people: Playing audio does not need much resource, my most trouble-free audio machine was a Pentium. You do not need heat producing power and all the fans that cool it.

What I tell myself: hey, it's my only PC, it's a general purpose machine and one day I might want to edit video or ...something.

What I do: mostly, surf the net and listen to music.

I bought an Antec power supply with the case. Post-purchase, I found, from a review, that it measured very well for electrical and physical noise. Happy coincidence. However, my hobby then became swapping out fans. I recommend Nokia Whoops, Noctua! and have a big Noctua CPU cooler.

The antec PSU died a few weeks ago. The replacement is not as quiet.

None of this is ever going to be upgraded, and will be replaced only as and when it fails. Who knows, though: I might end up, one day, with a tiny, fanless, silent little box  :)p4

Operating system: Linux, currently  Mint 17.1, MATE desktop, KXStudio (minimal install, not all the tools, bells whistles etc) looks after the audio tuning (It is a pain when you can hear the mouse pointer moving) and provides JACK.

Audio path: sometimes ALSA direct, sometimes JACK->ALSA

" I recommend Nokia..." What was I smoking? I meant Noctua, of course  :&  :&  :&

Dude who cares an audio machine.  I like it.  Minimalistic and sweet.

Geez. I imagine those are low-RPM and inaudible? Neat.
