It's pretty important that we don't make people who are here for the audio feel unwelcome due to hatred. Hatred politely expressed is still hatred. People often confuse tone for genuine civility. I'm proposing a compromise in which both sides walk away from all political discussion. You're insisting that we should be allowed to have only some sorts of political discussions, but other sorts must be censored because they happen to offend you. No Politics is No Politics. Not Kunlun gets to celebrate homosexuality, but Claritas gets told to fuck off for considering homosexuality suboptimal because "Hatred!" That's no compromise at all.Alternatively, we can have a No Politics rule; and also have a special subforum for politics and the like to discuss any issue so long as everyone keeps it civil. Maybe we can eat our cake and have it too.
How do you define hatred? Labeling certain opinions as "hatred" or "bigotry" in order to silence the people holding those opinions can be a problem.
If a gay member of the forum decides to get married and makes a public announcement about it, please don't use that as an excuse to grumble.
