Spider PowerForce Frequency Response

These are very bassy - more than the graph above suggests. CSDs show ringing at 5k. Not a bad spot to have it. Ringing at 4-5k tends to make things sound more more exciting with edge. Only thing is that the bass dominates over everything.

Not "Hi-Fi", but it's a good cheap basshead headphone without any razors of death or treble harshness which will cause high frequency hearing loss.

Yowza!

They are fun with movies though!  ;D

At least they aren't being billed as premium high end headphones with a price to match. For what they are, they are good.

that's what i was thinking when i first saw the graphs. i think lot of hardcore gamers might like them as well for good deep rumbling bass. looks like sony has bit of competition here when coming to bass and bassheads too.

I'm writing a positive review for them and this was my second positive point. Gaming..... ;D

The rest of the spectrum is not bad - as seen in the FR and CSDs. No razors of death.

I agree. That 10k suck-out is also good...helps eliminate noise but the bass......ZOMG.....

Totally bass-head headphones.

That sure is a purty bass hump, but does it sound clean?

The bass isn't as clean as I would like. That said, I didn't think it was too bad. I have most certainly heard much, much worse.

Might make good gift-phones. Last time I stocked up on closeout V-moda Crossfade LPs. Bass-hump & looks = thanks dude, these headphones rock!

Got the PowerForce recently in white and... not bad actually. I'm a fan of the Panny RP-HTF600-S for casual PC/YouTube/Gaming at the home PC and this one is definitely better!

Also, I got the Spider "Moonlight" headphone... is basically the opposite of these... bright as hell, airy and wide soundstage. Purrin, If you'd like to measure them, let me know! :-p
