I think mic capsules used in measurement rigs are flat till 10k

I think it has more to do with measuring inside a enclosed tube where size of tube is on the same order as the wavelength of sound at 10k. Causes peaks and nulls accordingly. These Panasonic capsule mics don't have great bandwidth but IME they get past 10k without such problems.
