I doubt the dt250-250 will have the extra flashiness of the "new headphone sound" like the k550s but these cans have been keeping me musically satisfied for longer than any other headphone without thinking about the technicalities, its not even funny :) The other headphone that has made me feel this way to a certain degree was the hd600 but with the senns, some music still gets annoying to a certain degree where I still think about them having a nasality here and there etc... The beyers are not flashy but I just like listening to music with them.

They are very good, things that are suppose to be there are there, not supposed to be there and they aren't.  Giving one to my girlfriend because she records and mixes.

Are both of them sounding exactly the same? Or are there any manufacturing differences?

Sounds the same to me.  Don't think they have quality control problems like the newer beyers.

Mine was a little heavier in the bass on the left channel during the first few days of use which is why i was asking about this.

And I can't send them anyway, gave one pair to my girlfriend already, plus an Audinst HUD-MX1, what a great sounding combo, I need to but that DAC/amp again...

I know, I still have my pair but I don't want to part with it! D:
