I'm making a piano VST

I'm making a piano VST. The current ones are all garbage. There are lots of synths that SOUND like pianos, but not that many that FEEL like pianos. Pianoteq is a good start, but it kind of sounds like shit.

It needs samples to start off and figure out how to sound but is mostly modeled. Right now it's trained to and using Piano in Blue samples. This is not your mother's Piano in Blue.

Limited features from adapting other samples:
CONTINUOUS ALL PEDALS. Halfpedal? Quarterpedal? No problem!
Physically modeled resonance! Not sampled!
Fully accurate pedal and damper behavior--damper materials and kinetic energy of individual strings included!
DESTROYS DPBSD, only digital piano on earth with progressive multiple repedal.

Planned features when I can record my own piano:
no velocity layers
infinite round robin/repetition variation
more realistic attack

Wow, that's quite the feature list there. Keep us posted, this sounds really cool. what keyboard do you have on hand for testing?

Sound pretty damn good to me. There are products that are certainly NOT garbage. But it sounds like you are going the route of physical accuracy rather than "sure, sounds right." I'm also not a serious pianist so I am not very aware of the shortcomings in current offerings. I look forward to seeing your progress. Sample sounds quite good!

Sounds awesome, I use a lot of VST's on my DAW, my favorite being Omnisphere 2. Would love to check out your VST!
