The coolest Canadian job is killing wolves for the oil companies like Master Liam did.

You won't want to get into the trouble of animal right groups... BTW, some local governments also pay to kill wolves.

Anyway, I'm a former student and did some environment research about artisanal mining of precious materials, mercury regulations, and cartography of such information of sub-saharan africa. And I'm not sure for how long I'll be living in Vancouver, as other people indicated, the cost of living here is quite enormous.

The Oil and Gas industry in Canada was kind of driving our economy, and it's quite cyclic. In 2007, I was on a $6b project that was the largest in the world for a while... Then a couple years of slowdown, and recovery. Back at $40 something oil now, but things are still progressing.

The oil party stopped in Norway late 2014. Easily noticing this in the shipping business.

Former Jesuit and ex-associate D.R.E. for a Southeast Michigan parish. Following that, I've spent the last 10 years teaching college English.

Starting this Fall, I'm retraining for LIS work at Dominican University in River Forest. I've been employed full-time since I was 14. I'll be 34 in a few months and it's the oddest thing to be only working part-time while starting back to school. I keep thinking that I should be preparing my syllabi and posting my course materials in Moodlerooms. Instead, I'm buying books someone else has assigned.

Former Jesuit.

My father before he married trained to become a priest. "Devoted" priests, especially Jesuits deserve a lot of respect for the work they are willing to do. Many historical academics and scientists either have been or have had a relation with Jesuit priests in their career.

Respect, that decision holds many consequences.
