Awesome pyrate is not a given at this time by local consensus.  'Course a passel of rejection points by a bunch of elitist bastids could be construed as an honorific of sorts.  I truly don't deserve.   p;)

But chemical process analyzer systems subject matter expert is what they pay me as.

Nothing. And I really, really like it that way.

The only thing I wish is that I'd listened when people gave me good advice on saving towards getting a better pension.

I earned ( ??? ) those pensions in two ways. First, in publishing, having to do with mostly with greetings cards which had the nicer sort of pictures on the front (mostly) and no horrible rhymes inside. This work came my way quite by chance, having begun working in the company as a temporary labourer in the printing factory. I think I was the only person every to get a job in the publishing department with no degree at all, let alone one in art history, etc. It was a sixteen-year niche job, but...

I took on a computerisation project and became a self-taught Unix admin, and...

a couple of years later, ended up as assistant IT manager in the London branch of a big Japanese commercial insurer. An eleven-year niche. Until...

Post merger redundancy. Which I decided to call retirement.

And a chapter which is not relevant to this thread lead to me living in India... a ten-year niche... and counting.

Wow. What made you settle in India? Not that India is bad, just curious.
