I'd spend a few extra bucks if I knew the cables were properly meeting spec

Comes with a test report.
If you wanna read how others fare: https://www.bluejeanscable.com/articles/is-your-cat6-a-dog.htm

Still, generally overkill when we're talking about short runs at home with 30 megabyte audio files.

Not saying it's bulletproof, not saying you didn't hear anything...but Audioquest make some pretty extraordinary claims. I just happen to believe that, like most digital cables, if there is a difference it is very small and that I am not willing to pay for said small difference.

Do you think there may be an acoustic leak from the jack hole? ~Tyll Hertsens

Not sure if I like stuffing one hole or both holes. Tending toward one hole since both holes seems kinda ghey ~Purrin

USB is quite different than Ethernet. Isochronus mode USB has no error correction ability, and there's the Vbus/Ground lines that can negatively impact USB DACs. Some people have reported improvements simply by putting a piece of tape over the power leg pins on the USB connector. Ethernet doesn't send any power, and it's error correcting. Beyond using a shielded cable, I'm really struggling to understand why spending a lot of money on an Ethernet cable makes any sense.

WHY YOU ALWAYS GOT TO BE CORRECTING ME!!!

Nah just joking thanks  for the info, changstar wouldn't be the same without you dave
