Some of our identity is "not head-fi". It is also "not headcase". If we make it too much about either of those things, we lose sight of what makes others so frustrated in the first place: the honest, occasionally violent, dialogue about gear and other dumb shit. The covert soft-ban business is misleading bullshit, but we lose more than we gain by organizing an actual navy.

Let head-fi be the one big commercial and pointless circle jerk it is.  I'd prefer if everyone just ignored it entirely on this site.  No reason to make it into an us vs them thing.

I'm not sure what the legalities are about Head-Fi. But I was under the impression that Jude was the king of Head-Fi. No democracies. I don't really care that much about Head-Fi TBH. I don't go there often and my browser often crashes if I want to login there anyway.

Does Jude make money out of Head-Fi and the alleged hordes that visit and frequent events there? Very likely.

Do I want to contribute to Jude's cause? Not really.

So do I care if Jude deletes all of my posts and puts a feathered monkey for my avatar? Nope.

Do I get any correspondence and masses of people asking me what I think about this or that headphone and Jenner's sex change? Nope.

I care about Head-Fi in as much as some of the people I value here care about it.
