:O thats interesting, I would never have guessed UM and AAW are 'partners'. Locals dropped UM because of the multiple complaints of voiding in the shells.

would it be fair to say that Unique Melody only suffered public backlash because of the regional distributor woes that plagued them near the climax of their career?

because I have audtioned the UM mentor and it certainly deserves a spot in the TOTL shootouts.

Great resemblance to the K10 except for the mid-bass region.

Null Audio was one of the first to carry Rooth as a line, so their partnership grew from there.

No, because regional distributors' woes directly stemmed from UM's irresponsible behavior, awarding anyone and everyone with distribution deals. Plus, the big thing was that they insisted on using their 3D printer right away (presumably to recoup costs), but they couldn't get the quality right, and that backed up their entire production line for weeks. 4-6 weeks turned into 8-12 weeks for turnaround. All these troubles are on UM. The distributors contributed to the mess, but they didn't cause it in the first place.

UM and Rooth are one and the same. Same boss, same address, same parts sourcing. They just have different production teams. AAW is home-grown in SG, but I'm pretty sure (have not confirmed) they source all parts and raw materials from UM, as well as getting technical training from them. Have no idea whether they're doing a profit-sharing scheme or whatever, but it'd make perfect sense. Wouldn't be surprised if UM put in capital to get AAW setup.
