FIX XH-501 On-ear Headphone Measurement

FIX XH-501 on-ear headphone measurement

Raw

Diffuse Field Target Compensated (ISO 11904-2)

Olive-Welti Target compensated (AES 8994)

CSD - R

CSD - L

Harmonic Distortions - R

Harmonic Distortions - L

Impedance Magnitude

Here is FIX XH-501 measurement data from my rig, my apparatus is:
Occluded Ear Simulator: complying with IEC 60318-4 (former IEC 60711), Pinna Simulator(Small ear 35 shore-OO) complying with IEC 60268-7 annex A, and dimensionally complying with IEC 60318-7 (former IEC 60959)

Harmonic distortion is measured in 94dB SPL at 500Hz. This headphone's distortions are very low. But sharp deep at 8kHz is pretty big, so compensate this with EQ is recommended. To me, it sounds like mid-bass is quite boosted, and i can hear lack of frequency extention above 10kHz.

Can you listen again? I wondering if there might be an audible treble spike just after the 8kHz dip? Sometimes dips are really spikes right next to them. The reason I am wondering is D4 at 4kHz... is there a smaller D2 spike at 4kHz? What SPL are you running STEPS at?

I can't hear any peaks after them.. 2nd distortion of 4kHz have to low if this driver unit is normal because 8kHz has large dip. Maybe 2nd harmonic distortion of 4kHz is not due to SPL decline, but partial vibration or somthing. I measured this on 94dB SPL at 500Hz.

Distortion at 4kHz. (Linear) interesting.

Ah, and here is measurement from SEEKO (B&K 4128C):
http://www.seeko.co.kr/zboard4/zboard.php?id=m_phones&page=1&divpage=1&no=18

They measured THD at 1mW output.
