I had been lurking since '06 but never found the need to post until '09 when I wanted to sell the 701's to pay for some (gasp) ED9's.  Just browsed through my first couple pages and they were almost all music-related, as Head-Fi used to be a pretty good forum for that kind of stuff (now replaced with SH and others.) 

My first post on HF was "YGPM". You see, I had a plan to get myself an end-all rig with my entry into this hobby. With my limited budget, I bought myself a HD650 and built a millett minimax. The same HD650 still sits on my desk, used daily. I think I did pretty well.

I was stupid and listened to Tyll. Got K701+ Headroom.

Hey...we all start somewhere. My first real headphone was a vintage RS-1.

My first real headphone was a Sennheiser HD570 or 575 not sure which.  I thought they were awesome at the time, I have no idea what they sound like now though.  My dad gave them to me.  I mostly used them in the darkroom.  Then years later I got an HD600, then I found head-fi, got an RS1 and my dislike of that headphone brought me to posting that thread. 

My first headphones where a pair of HD202s (prior to that it was what ever came with the mp3 player).
