Look you asswipe, let me make things clear: You come in here and ask what is a good NOS DAC when you don't even know how an NOS DAC sounds like. Then you ask for the "best" square waves and lack of ringing for impulse response, when you don't even know how these correlate to subjective sound. Then finally you list a few DACs, two of which are not NOS (M7 and Yggy are not NOS).

Let me answer your question: We don't fucking know. There are no independent measurements (vendor provided measurements are considered kind of iffy here) of all of these DACs. Atomicbob measured the Yggy. That's all we have. You if see the nice rounded 820Hz squarewave of TotalDAC (w/o the compensation, but massive treble rolloff) and think that is the best, then go for it rather than ask us to confirm, validate, or give you a pat on the back on what you already want.

Of these DACs you have mentioned, I have heard all of them except Total DAC and Pavane which just came out. Phasure NOS1 sounds different from AGD M7 sounds different from Yggy. Of these Yggy sounds the most accurate or least colored, at least on a neutral system.

If you do hires production work, Yggy is recommended because of its ENOB / INL accuracy and subjective highly resolving quality. I think that DAC was recommended to you. But then you have a cow because Yggy is not NOS. Then someone asks why you want NOS. Then you go full retard and won't answer, or can't answer because you realized you are a full retard. In fact, you are already full retard because you asked for the best square waves. It's not that simple.

Please, just don't come here with any pre-conceptions if you want real honest advice, otherwise just go fuck off.
