I believe he was referring to the hybrid nature, not the voltage...

Syline is correct.

Was just talking about the hybrid nature of the output stage.
As the SR/Horizon are open frame designs (not my first choice) the max DC voltage must remain below 50VDC.
With an ECC86 it can hardly be called a starved plate design  ;)

Thank you very much for the awesome explanations. My electrical engineering knowledge is abysmal - limited to basic stuff learned during physics courses, but if I squint my brain  :wheel: it makes sense.

This is one major reason that I find Project Sunrise III so special in sound.
