That movie is awesome! 8.5/10. I kind of want to give it a 9/10 personally. Total surprise to me how well done it was. People can see what real police abuse was in the 80's, not this modern fake shit with violent thugs, criminals and dopeheads being turned into false martyrs (exception of Walter Scott who seems to get the least attention). Most cops are good honest people trying to help. I know many personally and have mostly positive experiences as long as I cooperate, try to make their job easier when pulled over and show them due respect for the danger their job entails.  However, there are a few unethical power tripping insecure bitches who lie and abuse the system (I have had the misfortune to run across two in my time). To them I say...

Dre and E made a huge mistake coming after Cube.

I can't wait to see the NWA movie. Thought there was a pretty interesting article about the context of NWA here: http://pitchfork.com/thepitch/720-who-got-the-camera-nwas-embrace-of-reality-1988-1992/

I also loved the Tribe Called Quest Documentary that came out a bit ago. Speaking of which, Wax Poetics is putting out these incredible mixes that blend original samples with album cuts (the DJ is Chris Read of Who Sampled). This one is especially great:

It really is weird that we haven't had a hip-hop thread on here yet. I'll hopefully get a chance to see that NWA movie this weekend too.

And speaking of Ice Cube diss tracks, he gets destroyed by Common on Bitch In Yoo. It may be my favorite diss track ever:

Common referenced Das EFX. "When A Blind Can See It" your groove is tight and that is how J.B. meets EFX.
