These were some of the first albums I had lying around:
Album is little bit compressed but not too bad, lots of information still to be extracted. Quite a few tracks have those 'look over your shoulder' moments on the Yggy. From the real-to-life vocals howls that come from nowhere, the finger taps on drum skins I never heard before, clapping of wooden drum sticks together, clanking beer bottles, everything just pops sounding 'there'.
Pretty much every CD I've gone through has had little revelations of one sort or another.
Spandau Ballet's 'True' had a rather haunting effect with how everything sort of melts away and sort of transports you off this world.
This album actually turned out sounding better than I remember on his earlier tracks like 'Controversy' and 'I Wanna Be Your Lover'. vocals, guitar, bass and drums are just so clean and articulate for a non-audiophile disc.
