No, I just have the V2 placed on a wooden table with the rubber feet on the bottom. Thank you for answering my question about Shorting inputs Riotvan

You're welcome mate, hope you get it fixed. Can be very frustrating. I had a similiar problem once and it was too much gain from the tubes. But since they swapped your amp i reckon they swapped the tubes as well.

Yes, they probably did swap the tubes. I let my good friend and member here borrow my V2 a couple of times and he had no issues with any noise/buzz/hum so I do not know, it is puzzling and frustrating.

Wow, I never thought to ask you guys about questions like this.  I've got a TT issue that's driving me insane.

Sure hope you get this worked out.  Things like this drive me up a wall.

Ah yes ofcourse, i take it shorting the inputs didn't work then? Either way i'm sure shiit or someone around here can help you further. I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as some people around here...

I've got a TT issue that's driving me insane.

Turntable hum usually goes away with a separate earth to a metal water pipe or something. The wire [if supplied] that attaches to the amp/pre-amp is not enough, even if the gear is three-pin and all plugged into the same outlet. I have always found this to be necessary.

I thought I had my mystery buzzing/humming from my Valhalla 2 figured out (thought it was my Son's old big tube television upstairs in his room, right above where the V2 sits. When I unplug his TV, the buzz/hum went away for a while so I thought that was the cause for the buzz/hum/interference. But since, it has come back but I noticed something peculiar. On the High/Low gain switch if it is set to low, the hum is hardly noticeable, when it is set to high gain, the buzz/hum is pretty loud. Anyway, what I noticed was if I touch the gain switch with my finger, even on high gain, the buzz quiets down a bit.

Does this sound like a grounding issue? Am I going to have to give in a get a ground loop eliminator? Or does anyone else have any ideas? I hate to spend $60 or $70 on a ground loop/buzz eliminator if I can avoid it.

Thank you for any suggestions and/or ideas.

It might still be radio interference.  Do you still get it if you disconnect all the inputs?

Yes, if I disconnect everything except the headphones and power cord (So basically the RCA cables) - I get the buzzing. There is no buzzing humming coming from the unit itself, only through the headphones.

Since it only has one path to ground in that situation it can't be a ground loop so its either EMI/RFI or a problem internal to the amp such as the tubes going bad.  If it's the same in both channels it's probably not the tubes.
