There is a good reason for all this. I got two IDs because of initial techie problems in joining the site at all. I just installed a different OS (Linux Mint) and "keep me logged in" wasn't. I synced Firefox, but it just goes to show that one should not accept whatever form auto-completion offers up without looking.

Which is all rather boring. And actually, a bloody daft reason. Especially bloody daft that I didn't notice that my name had changed  :spank:

Did you fully update Firefox? Sometimes technicalities hinder Firefox and then I switch to Chrome.

I updated FF on my old Ubuntu partition just so that I could use the new sync. Previously, I had locked it, because the new chrome-like look and feel is horrible. New Mint/Mate partition is a new install, and tweaked with Classic-Theme-Restorer, etc, to look sane again.  Anyway, today the mint partition won't boot and I'm back with Ubuntu ---having sent the last, working-I-hope, root backup off-site yesterday--- until tomorrow.

If you want to avoid the Android use Donald Fauntleroy Go and you should be fine.

You and your ODACs! FireFox is way more modular, customisable and sometimes totally unusable. The setting are awesome though and less preachy...

It gets worse. I'm experimenting with a HiFiMeDIY DAC for the tablet. $30 DAC! I'll tell you how I feel about it when I get back from London, by which time I should have bought some fairly modest travel phones to use with it.

They do make us promise to be careful in about:config :)

I do not like the software world's insistence that stuff has to change, for no good reason, and forcing it on us, even when they are not making us pay for it.

Now... where are those notes I was making about who was saying what? Or was that Thad? Or Spartacus? Or...

And my mint problem turned out not to be personal: it was fixed by updates.  :)p1
