NY Spring Meet 2015 May 2nd, Babylon

So who's attending? I don't recognize any pirates in the members list. I've attended every NY meet for about the past 2 years but I don't think I've ever had the chance to meet any of you guys here, so I'm hoping I'll have the chance this time around.  :)p4

I'm not completely sure if I'll be bringing my setup or not but if I will, I would be bringing my Parasound D/AC-1100, SF TransDAC, and Valhalla 2. Maybe a Zana Deux if I get it in time. I could also bring anything else that you find in my profile page. If you guys haven't had the chance to try out a vintage dac, this would be a great opportunity. I'd like to try the hd800s with anax 2.0 on my setup again at the meet.

My Friend, Cradon, would bring his modded he-6, Master 7, AMR-DP777 SE (If he gets it upgraded and back in time), and a First Watt F1J.

Gunner - I have been to all of those meets but one and I don't think we've ever met. rather I should say we probably have at least met briefly but didn't know it. Anyway, I am planning to attend next month and will probably bring my Oppo PM-2 and AKG K7xx. Could bring my Q701 also but don't think there is much interest in those based on past experience (although perhaps people would want to now compare the two AKG models).

Haha, I hope to actually meet you this time around! I'm honestly not very interested in vendors anymore like I used to be.

It less than a month away now.
not sure if I can get my modded tube amp ready by then, but at least I can bring some headphones.

I'll be there! Haven't missed a meet in several years. I'll be doing another meet in Stamford this Fall as well.  :wheel:

I'll be bringing along my recently completed EHHA Rev A (one of Cavalli's higher end DIY efforts) and probably my K7XXs and a few other goodies.

How are you liking the K7xx's. I was going to bring mine as well (and maybe the Q701 for comparison). I dig 'em, but don't actually listen to them that much. Look forward to hearing your latest DIY.

@Colgin - The 7XXs are a fantastic value. For $200 they are keepers for sure. At first I didn't know what to make of them when comparing them to my vintage K240 Sextetts, which were a great value as well. I think the 7XX was more in your face with its presentation, but after a while I think I like them better than the Sextetts. They have a better balance across the freq. spectrum. I've had the K701s in the past and I like these a lot better!
