CoC War Results
« on: March 11, 2015, 12:22:40 AM »

Thanks CT for your guest appearance and helping us get started! 26/30-0 (unfortunately, most members of the other clan quit when their leader decided to go to war). Still 26 stars is a very impressive result - although that is because we had the help of a few other Changstar CoC vets (You know who you are).

Yay. We win again! 24-16 Up against some tough competition. Seems a few of the enemy clan's players left after we got off to an early start.

Bwahahaha...this is too good. A lot of fun hanging with you. Who knows, I may be back to your clan (and with family).

2015-03-14 War:

We win again! This time 23-16.

We went up against a much more powerful clan with x3 TH9s and a bunch of TH6s. In contrast, we had TH9, TH8, TH7 and a bunch of TH5s. I thought were were doomed and expected to score no more than 18 stars. I honestly wished for a <quit> button before we even started, but this proves how perseverance in the face of adversity pays off. We played smartly and three starred everyone from #4 to #10, and Khall12334 pulled off an gutsy attack on their TH9 to get two stars.

Two barbs at the beginning to set off traps. This info was gleaned from an earlier failed attack. This is why we don't worry if we fail. Later attackers get to find out where the traps are.

A gutsy attack from Khal12334. TH8 scores 50% and two stars on this TH9.

I figured a TH9 was going to attack my TH7 base. Initial design was closed and more compact. I decided if I was going to lose, I was only giving up two stars instead of three. Spread out base to make attack go all over the place. In hindsight, I should have setup more of an anti-air design, but this worked anyways.

This was a great outcome for us. Everyone pulled through with some really well executed attacks.

2015-03-10 War:

Our first loss! 26-28.

In any event, I am proud of you guys. 26 stars is a record - and very very good considering that went against a clan of professional Asian players based in Indonesia. Hats off to king N queen. Those guys were methodical and destroyed us with dragons. I think we could have tied them, but the cost to our personal lives and laid back approach would have been enormous. We have real lives with families and jobs to tend to.

Again, don't sweat the loss. The point is to have fun! Don't forget that we are supposed to be a rag-tag team of people of varying skill. This one was nerve-wracking; but in the end, I will have fond memories of this match-up.

2015-4-10 War:

27-19

Just an update. After that loss three weeks ago, we followed up with three wins in a row. Here's the most recent. The prior two wins were not worthy of mention because the other clans really didn't bother to show up. This one was a pretty decent win. We set a record for most stars at 27. We came out to a good start and I think the opposing clan partially imploded / gave up.
