It works better this way - reverse the sine sweep
« on: February 04, 2015, 06:04:26 AM »

I thought I'd share a breakthrough I finally had today tuning my EQ for some cans that only came when I decided to try a 30 second log sweep down from 20kHz-20Hz instead of the usual upward. Somehow, things stuck out better for me to tweak by ear. :)p7

I'd been trying to improve the FR for a while and just couldn't nail it 'til I switched things up. Something about perceptions in hearing, I guess.

In case you're wondering, I used Adobe Audition to both generate the sweep and to analyze the frequency I paused at so I could set EQ through EqualizerAPO.
