The moon phase for sure. Although I bet that complication adds a chunk of change to the cost.

Unless you're a woman or a werewolf, the one without the moonphase. It interferes with the sharp lines of all the hands.

I personally like the Moonphase version - however is there a price difference? If you aren't concerned with the moonphase option, go with the other version.

P.S. What type of Movement is it? - Automatic?

It's an automatic movement made almost entirely out of 18kt rose gold.

And there's a big price difference for the moonphase!

The moon phase for sure. Although I bet that complication adds a chunk of change to the cost.
Yup. For what the platinum deployment clasp and the moonphase cost together, you could buy a Rolex Daytona (in stainless steel, at least)

Unless you're a woman or a werewolf, the one without the moonphase. It interferes with the sharp lines of all the hands.
Or a Tibetan Buddhist--some rituals are done according to a lunar calendar. Interestingly, several women I've asked to help have gone with the non-moonphase option. It runs about 55-45 in favor of the moonphase. Not quite even, but it's close enough that both options have their fans.
Haven't asked any werewolves or whywolves ("motivated by the spirit of inquiry...and bloodlust!"). Yes, that's a reference.

I prefer the non-moon phase.  The face seems cleaner.

I need some pirate help, including TheGame.

Which of these two do you like?:

For that type of design, I think it's better without. Cleaner. I feel the same way about the Zenith Elite, which is a favorite of mine. Better without the moon phase. I'd get one with a power reserve indicator and that's it. Of course what you should REALLY get is that gorgeous calendar retrograde.  ;D

Nice Zenith watches!
I have to say, they both look very nice to me.

Yeah, the FPJ annual calender with retrograde date is beautiful, right?

Thanks, Cryptowolf. I think that's the main reason to go non-moon. I'm still deciding, but it seems like neither is hugely better, so we'll see!

Actually, if I buy the moonphase, a new one will be made just for me. That's kind of amazing.

Beautiful Journe love that color scheme. The thing about FP Journe's design is that it looks equally great in jeans or a suit. Hoping to get a chronometre bleu in the future. That blue dial is simply stunning in person.

Thanks, Ben!
I've seen the CB in person, too, and you're right. It's really stunning, changing beautifully with the light.

Nomos has really been doing great things with in-house movements and their dials are perfect.
