What do you mean by this -

If anyone has extreme problematic issues with DIY or just simple manipulation of such a kit, please let me know openly or via pm. I'd like to get a feel for how many might be in this position.

 

I take it the kit, when made available, will include all the material items cut to your specification, and it will then just be a matter of installing within the cups.

How is the lining kept in place? I assume that it will be easily reversible without fear of leaving residue. I've never tried this mod (as I never felt the need to tame the HD800), but I'm curious to hear what your efforts have achieved.

Friction atm. I was referring to folks who expressed they might be more physically challenged and still want to give it a go. I'm just talking about meeting a particular need, not the kits general character.
