Speaking of ice cream -- I recently got an ice cream maker, which may simultaneously be the best thing and worst thing to happen to me. Worst because there is no way I can exercise enough to keep up with this heightened caloric intake, and best because my quality of life has gone way up!

Remind me to make you some when I swing by. What's your favorite flavor, RD?

Oh geezus, if you were a girl I'd marry you right now.  You can have all my headphones, just make me homemade ice cream!   :P   I think mint chip is my favorite, but with homemade I think vanilla is probably the way to go.  Nice and simple.

I'm pretty sure cave men ate ice cream.   :-*   I'm not going to drink lard, so I have to make an exception.

Chocolate is simply the best thing ever.

Yeah!  I spent a summer living in the rain forest in Ecuador and I made chocolate from scratch one day.  Picked the cacao from a wild tree, sucked on the seeds (they have a gooey guava-tasting coating, which is actually all the locals eat of the cacao, they don't make chocolate), dried them, toasted them, ground them, cooked them with sugar.  Man, that stuff was nothing like what you can buy here in the store.  It was super fruity and the slight buzz you get from chocolate was a full on stoney high.  I could only eat a couple spoonfuls because I got light headed.

Meh, Ice Cream is alright.  Gelato and Frozen Custard is where it's at.

@RD - You sure you don't have a tape worm snooping in on your listening sessions?

Red meat is actually one of the most nutrient dense foods in the world.  Have you noticed a difference in energy after eating rare versus well done beef?  You could try Wagyu cooked over a bowl of fresh, hot steamed rice too.  Healthier fats than normal cow.  I was a Vegan for 8 months long ago and I had the worst energy levels ever then.  My body is just too used to blood and flesh.  Soy protein doesn't cut the mustard for me.

That sounds awesome! My friends all laugh at the fact that I actually enjoy baker's chocolate. Less sugar and milk, more cocoa please!
