NBD, just the HD800, Code-X, Abyss, and dBel84 modded HP1000 hanging out.

See the first post!

CEE TEE has graciously found some tables and chairs he can lend for the event <3

We need a strategy for booze and food. I'll feed you guys something delicious. I'm a wine feller, so I'm asking CEE TEE for spirit advice. I'll pick up some scotch and beer.

That sounds great.

Well, if you still have room for a humble little guy to come by (I promise I won't bring my crazy heavy and super big vintage receiver!), I'll bring the following:

Hifiman HE-560 (modded, but not Jerg's mod)

And as far as high-end DAC, I can bring...

Neko Audio D100 Mk.II
Sonic Frontiers TransDAC

Edit: and if not, at least I can drop off the Neko Audio for CEE TEE to carry up there. I think it's worth checking out.

Dude! I forgot to add you to the list! Yes, you're in (the last one).

Perfect! Thanks! :D

Let's see if the mods I performed on the HE-560 don't bring it closer to the Abyss than Marv's impressions let on.

I can bring my unmodded HD800, the Beyerdynamic DT-1350, my Project Sunrise Amp and Headroom Desktop "pimped out" amp and my Wadia 581se. The transports out, but the DAC works just fine. I could bring the Gungnir, if needed. Or I can just bring some beer and the HD800. Let me know. No ego here. Sounds like we have plenty of gear.

Edit: I can bring my trusty HD 650, with a small crack in the headband.

Ringingears, I'd be interested in hearing that Wadia.  IIRC, supposed to have a warmer sig conducive to HD800 pairing?

You always crack me up.  But I did just get one from Costco.  Just in time for the Holidays. Good to have two though.

See if subjective impressions match up with the objective measurements...
I'll being some extra batteries. AA's??

Re: The Wadia has 3 settings that changes the sound sig. I think it does match well with the HD 800. Curious to see what all of you think. It looks idiotic with the transport door open, but that's how things go.

What are we using as sources? My computer has some redirect/ pop up virus so all I have is a Creek Destiny CDP which I'm using coax out into the Wadia, and two thumb drives with HDTRACKS hi-Rez files. Hopefully I can get this damn virus out tomorrow. Worked on it for a couple of hours. This one is bugger.
