Welcome to all the new pirates!

I've got a dog and two kittens so I agree with the cat and dog lovers.

Sellout!

Sellout!

Fine, if I had to pick... puppy vs kitten? I pick the one who doesn't try to eat his or her own poop (kitten). Owning both at the same time has made me swing from being more of a dog lover to more of a cat lover.

We'll see where I land when the dog is old and lazy.

What's your favorite burger? Who did you vote for? Air soft, 9mm or .45? Where do you source your contraception?

P.S. To get a reaction out of people a tarantula also makes a good pet.

I've always wanted to eat a roasted one. They look like crab meat inside. Couldn't be worse than the cricket sushi I ate in Cambodia. Insects should be served well-done, not rare or blue.

Hi Mrip, welcome from the latest newbie here as well.

I'd stick with the felines and get a lion. Makes a pretty lasting impression on visitors and neighbors.
Easy to keep, just feed them a cow once a week. And they're cats, they rule. :P

You really live up to your avatar Anaxilus.

AppleheadMay, a lion is cool but a semi-domesticated wild cat would be my choice. Lions can kill with one swipe of their claws alone and you still need to give the cat enough space to wonder in. Otherwise a wolf is a better choice and you can raise a wolf.

No worries, I'm not planning on getting a lion. ;)
Mighty animals though, like all the other felines.
I once saw a documentary of two guys in Australia raising a male lion. They did a pretty good job and even played and rolled around on the beach with him. After a few years (I guess, been a while since I saw it) they brought it back to Africa and managed to get it into a group of lions. A few years later they tracked it down again and it still remembered them. Was pretty amazing to see.
