Welcome Recarcar  ahoy

How were you endowed your fat bass? Did pirate booty "booty up" your lower hertz regions?

As best I can remember, in 2007 the San Jose guys decided to rename their (Inter)National Meet "HeadFest".

The next year when Tyrion held it in Florida, he felt that "HeadFest" was too much like "sausagefest" and renamed it CanJam.

Welcome recarcar! I hope you enjoyed the meet :)
Thanks! It was a lot of fun. Your setup was awesome. Listening to some Arvo Pärt with the Code-X and Abyss off it was incredible  :)p1

Hi guys, I've always been aware of this site but never bothered to sign up. I'm Jacqueline from Miami, Florida. I decided to sign up and join because I feel like I just want to minimize what I have right now and streamline my audio experience. Lately I've been focusing on just hitting the so-called endgame with one or two headphones + a semi-high end amp/dac setup to go with it.

I currently have an LCD-X in the mail and I intend to pair this up with a Liquid Carbon or a Schiit Mjolnir along with an Emotiva DC-1 DAC. My portable setup is pretty much at endgame with an A&K 100 II DAP which is both overpriced but enjoyable paired with an ATH-IM70 and a JH13nonFP. I honestly do feel like there's nothing else I can improve on with the portable setup.

Anyhow, I sail the high seas to take my eyes off the hype of the bigger headphone forum in the other side of the interwebs and hopefully find the right amp for my LCD-X and perhaps upcoming Ethers that I really enjoyed in AXPONA. Who knows, I'll give it a few months.

Looking forward to interacting with you guys.

jjacq, Your home set-up is similar to mine.  I have an Emotiva XDA-1 feeding a TTVJ Fet-A or a Headroom Max.  While I have not heard the Mjolnir, I have a Cavalli Carbon on the way.  I'll pick whichever two amps best suit me.

I look forward to hearing of  your impressions of the synergy between the DC-1 and various amps.

Welcome aboard.

Hi - I'm switching to this forum from HF.
Couldn't take it anymore.

 p:/

Looking for advice on buying a DAC for the rest of my days. Tired of hearing the usual marketing hype talk.
Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Peace

 ahoy

Joe
