iPhone + Oppo PM-3 should do it. You're welcome.

Thanks! I just don't like closed full size cans. Almost all closed full size cans suck to my ears, FSP being an exception sonically, but comfort-wise they are a huge fail (and I wear glasses). For portability IEMs do the job. On average I carry a bloody 6+ kg stuff boarding public transit for 2 hours every day. I'm more interested in their HA-2.

I also doubt PM3 can best my Angie. Plus being in Canada also kind sucks...

Go in the all purpose advice thread and ask away. You may be surprised.

Have done that this afternoon. Still waiting to see if any answers will kick in?

BTW I just forgot to multi quote. Sorry for posting so frequently.

Hopefully you have access to the "pirate booty" thread.

If you have to have something that is affordable and sounds good for portable use a.s.a.p. go for Koss. Portapro, KSC35, KSC75 and SportaPro impressions are a post away.

Solderdude is known to scout affordable headphones and modify them. Check out his work and that of Stratocaster in particular.

For portable gear I prefer DJ-gear hence I have K181 DJ. Some people here prefer in-ears in all kinds of "customisations." This place is not the swamp HF is.

I think it was deep funk who also told me to get the KSC75 when I first posted here, I kind of chuckled, $15 headphones, really?

They are pretty amazing, I don't listen to them all that much but I should because they sound better than anything portable I have.  Without a doubt the best value in the world of audio.

I do have the access to "pirate booty" and have been reading through the two. Kind of funny the worst pieces thread mutated into a Ultrasone/Grado ranting thread. Also it seems that modding and tweaking are the way to go here? I guess soon or later I'll also be in. KSC75... I don't like to use them on public transit because of leaking sound. For outdoor use I'm settled with IEMs.

I'm not all that hostile against HF, but for honest, focused advice and nutritious readings I'm here. I now visit HF almost exclusively for Jason's story and meet information. Also in the past few months I've found my tastes differing so far from some contributors on HF that I have to question their credibility...

Despite appearances, we are not hostile to HF. It may seem that way because we let people blow off steam - we moderate with a lighter touch and prefer to steer conversations rather than censor them. People seem to forget that we Pyrates solely planned Head-Fi meets in California from 2011 to 2014 - laying the groundwork for the current HF meets/tradeshows in CA. HF's not an easy place to sharply critique gear. Sometimes it seems some people just don't want to know or take it personally. I totally understand and respect that - that's one reason this site was created. Over here, there are a lot of different opinions, some diametrically different, but we all manage to get along. It's all laid out there for readers to decide among themselves.

We can be extremely immature here though. I'm sure you may have noticed. Changstar motto is: We take audio seriously, but we don't take ourselves seriously.

Actually I did not learn until two days ago that all the previous Cali meets were organized by you and the guys here, it's not advertised to noobs.  That really puts things into perspective.

The biggest things I may have to rant is that I'm in Canada. So many fucking things unavailable.

I think I've sorta got the atmosphere here. Anyways we all agree to disagree, that's the point. Like you purrin hate K3003 but sparrow loves it.

2010 and before were a lot of HC guys. They pioneered the meets. Then there was a gap (at least in CA). CEETEE picked it up.

The term CanJam is not HF property. It never was. Jude stole it. I think CanJam was first coined by a couple of HC guys at meet on the East Coast. Tyll may shed more light on this matter.
