There is a bit of hype for Cowboy Bebop. I still consider it classic and the series still deserves its praise in my opinion.

Meanwhile many anime fans seem to gloss over Gundam Mobile Suit (the original series) and Berserk which I consider peculiar yet awesome in their own ways. "Guts" is one of the best protagonists ever conceived in a narrative.

If you become too fed up with the T1, try a DT250-250 ;) Beyerdynamic still makes some budget gems.

Hi

I've been lurking here and a while at the other places (that shall remain unnamed).

I thought I ought to stop being a stowaway here and join the ranks.

Why?

Basically reviews like:
TAKSTAR PRO80:
Nice clean. Not the most resolving.
Oh, the box. THE BOX. Yes! The BOX! That is a nice touch. Thank you China manufacturing!
This is a great $125 headphone. I mean $69.50 headphone.
Buy for the box if you don't like the headphone.
This is LEADERBOARD shit for $70.

Nathan:

Welcome aboard and I do know you from the "other" thread.

Cheers
Koth

P.S. To jog your memory, you sold me some capacitors for the BH Crack.

Ahoy there (is that the culturally appropriate greeting on this forum?)

I am a 40 year old Australian who loves music - Love playing, love listening, love talking etc... from medieval to Metallica and most things in between.

Since having my first child seven years ago I gravitated to headphones as a more "family friendly" means of enjoying my recordings.  Stumbled across this site in getting info about K7XX.

Looking forward to learning from research and experience in buying the best gear I can afford.

Cheers

Nathan

Hey I sold you a Meier Concerto a few month ago and I saw you're lurking around the Sonett Thread. Seems we're following a similar path my friend ;)

Welcome.  headbang

Welcome  ahoy

When it comes to AKG, especially the K701 there is the pre-K701 era and the post-K701 era.

There are some budget gems pre-K701. I tried a few and stuck to the K500. When you find your favourite AKG it is likely to become a keeper, it is an AKG-thing.

Hi Koth

That's right - They were some Clarity Cap SAs for the power supply, weren't they?  How did they work out for you? I have used them in the past with great results.

 :)p1

Loving these emoticons!

Cheers

Nathan
Bingo. And a couple of chokes as well. Its working out great, mate. That's my go to amp for the Sennheiser HPs. And you've come to a forum where learning just happens.... it is also a cathartic experience... enjoy! Trust you're watching the World Cup (and this is a World Cup where more than one nation participates  :)p13)

I salvage them when I empty my cultural vaccuum.

But my sense of humour comes from my mother, and her mother before her. I have no daughters. Will it die out?

Have high hopes of the granddaughter!

I auditioned the HD800s on my Concerto a few years ago and wasn't impressed.

Me neither. The Corda Jazz does better than the concerto with the HD800 IMO ;) . owned it, sold it, Heard it recently and it still souns darn good with the HD800. I miss this little Meier amp ;)
