Totally wrong thread and wholly off topic. However, I dislike this argument enough to respond to it so here goes. If you drive the same way to work each day at the same time, but one day there's an accident that has to be cleared causing one lane to be blocked off and traffic to merge, do you get to work at the same time as the other days?

I also really hope your statement is not indicative that you believe actual 1's and 0's flow along analog cables in digital sources.

But by all means welcome and feel free to use the search button or start a thread to continue the dialogue.

Yeah maybe wrong section to discuss it here.  But I don't know, that's why Im asking.  If it makes a big difference why wouldn't' the manufacturer want to use a "better" cable on their product? Or is it just a subtle difference and it comes down to taste?
Or if it makes a difference why aren't there measurements with stock cable vs aftermarket to show the difference?  Or maybe there are and I haven't seen them.

I'm not trying to stir anything, the headphone cable thing is just new to me, and to be honest seemed a bit like snake oil to me.  Admittedly I don't know much about it, but that is why I am asking.

Holla

Need a new pair of desktop cans as my HM5 broke and can't decide to save my life what to buy, but I might write a longer post about it into the advice thread. Got tired of Head-fi over hyping everything and the meaningless picture spam of Reddit. This place looks awesome. Also I'm bad at introductions.

Have been reading for months, have finally registered.
Kind of stats fanboy, but I'm slowly taking some dynamic medicine, wearing a K7XX as I write.
Cheers  :)p5

I generally lurk and rarely post but I've been reading the forums for a while now so I might as well get that first post in.  ahoy

Some fun facts about me:
- I have a formal musical education (20+ years piano) with some university options (my degree is comp sci)
- I once conducted a full orchestra for 10 minutes (Brahms 2nd symphony excerpt) as part of a university exam  - yes it was AWESOME
- I own a large latin LP collection and DJ for local and international salsa dance events

I really appreciate all the info that is here! It's been instrumental in helping me to decide what I want to try/buy since auditioning stuff is very difficult.

Hi!..   I like music.  It makes me happy. My name is Adam. I love the honest opinions on here. I hate the pirate theme.  This is an emoji of me cumming in your eye:)  Talk to me about speakers.  I want good ones and don't have any.   I suck at intros so that's it.

Always looking for more information and varied opinions so here I am at Changstar. Into audio for a long, long time but really just got into the headphone side about three years ago. Still love a good stereo set up. I'm bi-informational. I appreciate numbers and stats but I rely on my ears most. Thanks for having me.
